Advancements in Bioscience and Engineering has lead to more artificially produced foods- through the cultivation of plant cells in the laboratory.
On a large scale because of the unit economics, it cannot expand to produce enough food for a growing population.
Hence it is a confined art to niche areas, particularly in wealthy boroughs where funding is readily available.
That does not discount the art and science benefits of artificially grown food in the laboratories.
In fact, its status as a result of bioengineering is a great success that deserves a lot of commendation and encouragement.
It is a hallmark of humanity’s progress on the Bioscience and Food Engineering.
